Jewell Station and surrounds covers the area between Park St and Albert St in Brunswick.

Planting began on the west side of the train station in April 1992 by Jo Connellan and friends and is now a forest away from forest.

Planting begun in 2015 by Upfield Urban Forest in the space opposite Acustico's Cafe.

The Upfield Urban Forest are also working on foresting both sides of the train line and are working an orchard off Brunswick Rd.

There is are many possibilities for this whole area and we are hoping that more locals will join us to care for this space.

Sunday 6 August 2017
Upfield Urban foresters came together for another watering, weeding and mulching session. It was wonderful to see so many old and new, young and old foresters coming together for such an event. This space is really coming along and it's going to look even more magic in 5 years. Well done, team.

On 2 July 2017 a group of Upfield Urban Foresters spent a couple of hours planting ground cover, mulching and weeding.  Here are a few pictures of them at work:

Street Art

The street art in this area has been described by the Frugal Frolicker as containing some of the best in Melbourne.  Well.... more please.

BiKE Shops And Cafes

How good is it to have a bike shop and cafe on the bike track!  Acustico cafe is totally worth checking out. Samson and Mr Jetovitch are on either side of the train station on the bike path.

Jewell Station West-side

The west-side of Jewell Station is an enchanting area and it's hard to believe that this kind of habitat thrives in such an urban setting as Jewell Station.  The trees are beginning to take on an almost wild feel and gives a great inspiration to creating an urban forest for the rest of the Upfield Line!
